Our Overview

Day 01 – Arrival in Colombo

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your representative and transferred to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s vibrant commercial capital. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a leisurely introduction to the city, where colonial architecture, bustling markets, and modern developments blend harmoniously. Settle into the historic Galle Face Hotel overlooking the Indian Ocean and relax after your journey.

Day 02 & 03 – Anuradhapura

After breakfast, embark on a guided city tour of Colombo before commencing your journey to the ancient city of Anuradhapura. En route, visit the magnificent ruins of Yapahuwa, a 13th-century rock fortress that once served as Sri Lanka’s capital. Climb its impressive stone stairway and admire the surrounding countryside.

The following day is dedicated to exploring the UNESCO World Heritage City of Anuradhapura, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Discover ancient monasteries, towering stupas, sacred reservoirs, and the revered Sri Maha Bodhi Tree, believed to be the oldest documented tree in the world. Later, visit Mihintale, the sacred mountain where Buddhism was first introduced to Sri Lanka, before returning to your hotel.

Day 04 & 05 – Sigiriya

Continue to Sigiriya, stopping en route to admire the impressive Aukana Buddha Statue, one of Sri Lanka’s finest examples of ancient stone sculpture. Afterwards, visit the spectacular Dambulla Cave Temple, home to centuries-old Buddhist murals and statues.

The following day, travel to the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore ancient palaces, temples, and remarkable stone carvings that showcase the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s golden age. Enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry lunch at Priyamali House before returning to Sigiriya. In the afternoon, climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” renowned for its ancient frescoes, landscaped gardens, and breathtaking summit views.

Day 06 & 07 – Kandy

Journey into the central highlands towards Kandy, Sri Lanka’s cultural capital. Along the way, visit the historic Alu Viharaya Temple and the colorful Matale Hindu Temple, reflecting the island’s rich religious diversity. In the evening, witness a captivating Kandyan cultural dance performance featuring traditional drumming, dance, and fire walking.

The next day begins with a visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s most important pilgrimage sites. Continue to the renowned Three Temple Loop consisting of Gadaladeniya, Embekke, and Lankathilake Temples, remarkable examples of 14th-century architecture and craftsmanship. Return to Kandy for a relaxing evening.

Day 08 – Nuwara Eliya

Today, travel through Sri Lanka’s picturesque hill country towards Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, admire the scenic Ramboda Falls and visit a tea factory to learn about the production of world-famous Ceylon Tea. Surrounded by rolling tea plantations and cool mountain air, Nuwara Eliya retains much of its colonial charm, earning it the nickname “Little England.” Enjoy a guided tour of the town before settling into the iconic Grand Hotel.

Day 09 – Ella

Experience one of the world’s most scenic train journeys as you travel from Nanu Oya to Ella through lush tea plantations, mist-covered mountains, and dramatic valleys. Upon arrival, visit the beautiful Ravana Falls and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of this charming hill town. Overnight stay in Ella.

 

Day 10 – Udawalawe

Rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the famous Ella Gap before departing for Udawalawe. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting jeep safari through Udawalawe National Park, renowned for its large elephant population, water buffalo, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. Overnight stay amidst the wilderness.

Day 11 – Galle

Journey south towards the historic coastal city of Galle. En route, visit the natural hot springs near Embilipitiya and explore the lively fish market of Weligama. Observe the traditional practice of stilt fishing, a unique cultural heritage of Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Arrive in Galle and enjoy a relaxing evening at your beachfront hotel.

Day 12 & 13 – Colombo

Spend the morning exploring the UNESCO-listed Galle Dutch Fort, a beautifully preserved colonial fortress filled with charming streets, boutiques, and historic landmarks. Later, enjoy a scenic boat safari on Madu River, famous for its mangrove forests and rich biodiversity, before returning to Colombo.

On your final day, enjoy additional sightseeing, shopping, or a comprehensive city tour of Colombo, depending on your flight schedule. Visit landmarks such as Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, Pettah Market, and Galle Face Green before your departure.

Departure

At the appropriate time, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka’s rich culture, ancient heritage, scenic landscapes, and warm hospitality.
